Solid Timber flooring is made of planks milled from premium grade timber logs that are kiln dried which guarantees performance of a lifetime. Manufactured under tight quality control conditions using the best manufacturing practices, our Solid Timber flooring comes with less carbon emissions. The flooring is made of Superior Quality Hardwood sourced from various exotic European, American, African and Asian timber species that are certified from ecologically managed forests. The flooring comes in eco-friendly finishes and is maintained using Bona products.
Teak has a characteristic of a golden-brown colour. The freshly machined surface can be remarkably variable in colour, with unsightly blotches and streaks, but after a short period of exposure, it tones down to the familiar golden-brown shade. The wood contains an oleo-resin and has an odor similar to that of leather.

Natural resistance to attack by decay fungi and termites is reported to be very high in the heartwood, as teak's resinous oil is reported to act as a natural insect repellent.
Sieana Walnut is a dense and heavy wood, superior to Teah in most strength properties. The heartwood coloration is irregular, ranges from light brown with few fine streaks to dark brown with darker bands or streaks. The wood is reasonably straight-grained, but often interlocked or irregular, with a coarse to medium texture and dull to medium luster.

Under tropical conditions, it is moderately durable and resistant to preservative treatment.
Merbau is a coarse-textured, yellowish to orange-brown when fresh, a little darken to reddish-brown when it is oxidized and aged. The grain is straight to interlocked or wavy, producing an attractive, ribbon figure on radial surfaces. Pores usually contain water soluble yellowish deposits which are conspicuous on a wood surface.

Heartwood is reported to be durable and is highly resistant to termite attacks.
The heartwood matures to a red-brown or purple-brown colour. The wood has a high and golden luster. Quarter sawn Sapeli is reported to yield a ribbon, regular strip or bee's wing.

The heartwood is reported to be susceptible to marine borer attack but it is moderately resistant to African termites.
The heartwood is orange to reddish-brown with darker streaks. Attractive grains which are usually interlocked or wavy. The wood is described as very hard, heavy to very heavy, with a texture that is moderately fine or medium and even.

The heartwood resists the attack of fungi, insects, including soil-burrowing termites and marine borers because of the resinous substance in the wood.
Thinwin is Purplish-brown to chocolate brown, striated with dark and light tissue zones that make the timber handsome. Dull, with faint smell of tar but without distinct taste. Heartwood is small. Sapwood is white or yellowish white. The grains are straight or narrowly and shallowly interlocked, medium coarse texture.

Iroko is very durable and is resistant to both rot and insect attack. It's sometimes used as a substitute for Teak.
The species is reported to be uncommon and rare. The colour of the heartwood is usually black; in others, it is black with streaks of reddish-brown. Grain is close, straight to irregular or wavy. Wood surface is reported to have a fine and even texture with metallic luster.

The wood is reported to be valued for its very high resistance to decay and other wood destroying organisms.
The heartwood can vary in color from light tan or pale yellow-brown to dark or pale brown, and can have a pinkish tint. The wood usually has a straight, open grain and its medium to course in texture. It has longer ray than red oak, and therefore displays more figures, which can include swirls, crotch pattern.

The heartwood is resistant to decay, but the wood can be attached by ambrosia beetles and other insects.
A characteristic feature in the hard maples is bird's-eye figure which usually appears as attractive patterns on veneer manufactured from the species. Flecks caused by inserts may also be present in the wood. Figured boards are reported to be often culled during grading and sold at premium.

The wood is of medium density, has good bending and crushing strengths, with low stiffness and shock resistance, and a good steam-bending classification. Maples fire resistant properties are reported to be higher than the average timber.
Ipe is typically reddish brown, sometimes with a greenish tinge, often with lighter or darker striping. It can be covered with a yellow lapachol powder. Much of what looks similar to a teak wood. Ipe wood comes in good long lengths with limited warp. Sapwood is much lighter white or yellow usually removed at the mill, although small strips along the edge can be present. Ipe hardwood has no distinctive odor or taste.

Cherry SOLID HARDWOOD FLOORING unfinished clear grade, also Known as Jatoba, is one of the most popular exotic hardwoods. The reddish-brown heartwood is lined by dark black streaks giving it contrast and depth. Brazilian Cherry's heartwood can range from pinkish-red to brown-orange when it is fresh, transitioning to tan to reddish-brown when seasoned. The sapwood is typically gray, white, or pinkish in shade will darken over time to a softer red-brown.
